I have never really been an animal person… far from it actually. However, what I see a lot of in China is a vast amount of kittens and puppies skipping around everywhere. What is most common is puppies literally piled on top of each other in cages, with some man selling them at the side of the road. My cause of concern is the fashionable aspect of carrying a puppy that has been gradually becoming popular out here due to celebrities in the West tucking a few in their handbag. These puppies sold on the street come with no information of breed, mother’s background or future requirements. It might as well be a Tamagotchi.  Loving a puppy is natural and wanting to care for one is fine but I think most people out here are so in awe of such a beautiful baby that they forget that this puppy is going to be a dog and a pretty big dog in some cases. Many people in the cities live in small apartments with no gardens. Due to lack of education, I think the puppy trend is going to lead in a vast amount of stray dogs strutting around the place. Sad really. Stray dogs are annoying and most of all dangerous. Animal Rights Rant Over. Look at that cute kitten! I had just been caving and found it alone by the road!
